Utility Line Worker
Education:
Training is taken in a cohort and consists of 6 classes. The students earn a 17 credit hour Basic Utility Line Worker academic certificate. Those 17 hours can be applied to an Associate in Applied Science in Management with a specialization in Utility Line Work. In addition, the students also receive CPR training and are also given the opportunity to earn their Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP).
York Technical College’s Utility Line Worker program is making great strides in expanding opportunities for students at the College and in the community. The Utility Line Worker program prepares graduates for entry level jobs in telecommunications, infrastructure, and electrical line roles.
