The last couple of years have highlighted the need for health care workers like never before. The Regional Medical Center (RMC) is helping to address this need by partnering with the local technical college (Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College) and a local high school (Orangeburg High School for Health Professions) to train Medical Office Assistants through their registered apprenticeship program. RMC’s apprenticeship program is a flexible, on-ramp into the healthcare career field with its ability to hire high school students into the apprenticeship as well as adult career changers.
